Art to me is not meant to be shoved somewhere tucked away, or in the trash if it doesn’t look good. No matter what age, art helps us to let our minds go, and let our imaginations run free. It helps us not to think. It helps us to let our minds at ease. It gives us the mental break could all use. When we “craft” our subconscious takes over. Our eyes and hands do all the work.

You don’t have to be in pre-school or be a child to enjoy art or be creative. You don’t have to do it perfectly. It’s about letting go and being free and not caring about imperfections.

So the next time you get creative, Be kind to yourself and your artwork. It’s not how it looks that is important, it’s how you let what is important go. Then hang it, and remember how good it feels to create!
